One of the most looked forward to tournaments of the year will run from 27th October to 29th October at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin, which will be hosting the 2012 Irish Winter Festival.

It has an estimated €600,000 prize pool and features a €1,125 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event.

To promote the festival, William Hill will be holding an array of satellite tournaments in which qualifiers can win an all-inclusive package worth €1,800 to attend the festival.

The satellites for these packages will run each Sunday at 19.00 (BST), with a €130+€10 entrance fee. They guarantee at least two winners in each package, with a further package added for every €1,800 in the prize pool.

Lucky winners of the packages will receive the following:

1.    €1,000+€125 Irish Winter Festival Buy-in.

2.    €316 for four nights’ accommodation and breakfast at the Burlington Hotel.

3.    €329 for flights and spending money.

4.    €30 handling fees.

For those competitors who do not require hotel and travel costs, William Hill will also be offering several other satellites that will be ticket only games. These satellites will run each Monday at 19.00 (BST) and cost €20+€2 R/A, and on Thursdays at 19.00 (BST) with a €80+€8 freezeout. Each satellite will award one seat per €1,125 in the prize pool.

For those with a small bankroll, William Hill is also offering an array of sub-satellites that allow access into these weekly finals. Entry to them can be found on the William Hill Poker lobby by clicking on the Land Based tab.

Last year the Irish Winter Festival drew in a field of 395 players. After an intense three days of play, John Keown emerged the winner and took home a prize of €100,000.
