To mark its move to new studios on 2nd February Sky Poker TV can celebrate the transfer to its new facilities with Welshman Alan Jenkins from Pontrhydyrun who, as alan1506, is only the second online poker Jackpot player to win the Sky Poker Jackpot. He took the top prize of £6,800 after winning both the Primo and the Mini Primo on Sunday 22nd January.
“I am just ecstatic with the win,” he said. “The missus had to slap me to make sure I wasn’t dreaming! I am still in shock but I am absolutely over the moon. I think the missus might be asking for a holiday soon though!”
As part of the Team 51, alan1506, whose real name is Alan Jenkins, makes the win a Welsh double. Dylan Davies, who lives in Llandysu and is known as dylan12, also won the Jackpot last September. Winning the Mini Primo gave Jenkins £405, while he took a top prize of £3415.50 in the Primo itself. Coupled with his success of lifting the Jackpot of £6,800 this brought the Welshman’s total winnings to just over £10,620.
The Sky Poker Jackpot is now looking for a third player to win it. Players who enter for it will find the Jackpot has now been set at £5,000 and each week that the prize goes unclaimed will see it increased by an additional £100. To stand a chance of taking the jackpot players must win the 8pm Main Event and the Mini Main event at 8.15 on Sky Poker.
Information and details for the games can be found on the Sky Poker website, which is licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Focusing mainly on players in the UK all winnings at the tables are paid in pounds rather than dollars, as well as its own Sky Poker Tour around the country.
