888 ceasarsThere is good news and more hope for online poker players in America. It has been reported that Caesar’s Interactive Entertainment and 888.com are joining forces to extend their British software licensing agreement, which will enable them to provide “a real money offering” in the US.

888 have been managing Caesar’s World Series of Poker in Britain since 2010 but with the US, seemingly preparing to allow online poker once again, the company is preparing to enter the US market.

Caesar’s and 888 released a joint statement saying that when the US finally agrees on gaming and licensing regulations they will utilise “888’s state of the art poker platform” along with “a real money offering.”

888 is already gaining a foothold in Nevada, which is looking at how to regulate online gaming although it is unclear when the first application for a license will be submitted to the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Mitch Garber, CEO of Caesars Interactive Entertainment, believes 888 will be good news for online poker players through the company’s successful experience of promoting the World Series of Poker in Britain for the last three years. Therefore, “With the current momentum toward either a Federal or state-by-state regulatory environment” he believes 888 is in a unique position to operate within either federal or state regulations.

This is good news for 888 Poker that is already placed in the FTSE 100, an index of the top UK companies on the London Stock Exchange. Since the beginning of the year, 888 Holdings has risen by 11.7 per cent on the FTSE 100, which will only add to the clamour for the return of online poker in the US, which has been bereft of online gaming since Black Friday last year.
