Hi and welcome to playpoker.com. This site was created in 2011 by a bunch of poker enthusiasts who wanted to share their knowledge of the poker business with their peers.
We started playing at University for what you can imagine were the lowest of low stakes. After learning the basics of the game a few of us decided to this new fangled online poker we had been hearing so much about. Needless to say we instantly got the online poker bug and immersed ourselves into this new and exciting world.
And so we come to today and playpoker.com a site that we hope shares our passion for playing poker online. The purpose of the site is to share our knowledge so that you can learn to play poker without making all the silly mistakes that we did.
AUTHORS
Thomas Baker – having played the game for over 5 years Tom has seen many comings and goings in the online poker world. He has contributed to many poker sites during that time and has even found time to write about sports, and particularly his beloved Man United, on a host of other blogs.
Matt Farrington – having met Tom through his love of poker at university Matt now splits his time by playing the tables on a semi-professional basis and contributing to many poker sites to offer his unique brand of news coverage and expert advice.

We have created our very own poker tutorial guide which runs you through the basics of no limit texas holdem right the way through to more advanced lessons that you will be calling upon as you make progress and build up your bankroll. There is a range of articles focussing on the three main variations of no limit hold’em – single-table tournaments, multi-table tournaments and cash game poker.
